Foodieland: Heaven for Food Lovers
Foodlieland is to Foodies what Disneyland is to Disney Lovers. In other words, it’s an appetizing piece of heaven. Foodies from all across the Golden State flock in droves to this mouth-watering, belly-satisfying event for anyone who enjoys the taste of good food. The annual festival kicks off in May and runs through October, hitting multiple cities throughout California, including Los Angeles, Berkeley, and Sacramento. With hundreds of vendors ready to cater to your every craving, it’s no wonder tens of thousands of people are lured here by the excitement of having delectable eats that make love to their taste buds. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t enjoy good food?
Inspired by traditional Asian Markets, renowned worldwide for their grub and entertainment, Foodieland provides an enticing blend of cuisine, music, culture, and community with a unique West Coast twist. Eventgoers can travel worldwide and experience flavorsome dishes, treats, and beverages from various cultures without ever leaving their backyard. What Foodie wouldn’t enjoy juicy quesabirria tacos straight outta LA, crispy lumpia by way of Sacramento, and savory garlic shrimp Musabi from Berkeley? And this is just a smidgen of what to expect when you arrive. With the abundance of options to tempt you in every direction, your brain and stomach will battle over which dish to start with. Foodies have been known to stand in line for up to an hour just to satisfy their cravings, hopping in lines stretching across the entire market!
Along with the absolutely tasty food options, the night market also provides a space for up-and-coming fashion brands, art and craft boutiques, and nonprofits to showcase their goods and services to everyone in attendance. Performers and DJs are also given a platform to display their talents on the main stage and entertain the masses. This is yet another way Foodieland serves the community by allowing vendors and artists to connect with new and old fans and grow their respective brands in a supportive space.
As we all know, one of the best ways to bring people together is through food. What makes Foodieland special is how diversity is celebrated. Hundreds of vendors are passionate about cooking traditional and fusion recipes, while thousands of food lovers are enthusiastic about indulging in their favorite foods, stepping out of their comfort zone, and trying something new. Everywhere you look, folks from all walks of life, every ethnicity and age, are participating in a positive and uplifting event for the community. Foodieland is a glimpse of what America could be if we all just came together to break bread. That is one of the main reasons I love this event so much (besides the food, of course).

We’ve been rocking together for five years, but all great things must come to an end.
We all have dreams, but we talked ourselves out of chasing them at some point. We’ve allowed the social construct of "FOMO" combined with the unsolicited play-it-safe advice from family, friends, and coworkers to influence us into believing we...
